    *dance*

I'm going to Wellington today!!!! Well, not today. I'm at work today - but I'll be heading to Wellington tonight! Actually, we'll be Kaikoura tonight - but Kaikoura is on the way to Wellington!!!

    *dance*

    I'm so excited :)

Yay! All I have to do is survive work, go home, pack, have tea with the parentals and then we're off. Also, hopefully the boy picks me up from work on time. He dropped me off today because he was going to clean out my car - but then discovered that the breaks on his car aren't actually working properly. Which is BAD. So he's got my car today.

    Yay - WELLINGTON!

    *cough* *hack* *wheeze* *die*

I think I'm dying. Actually, that's not true. I'm just sick - which sucks the big one because it's two - count 'em TWO - days to wellington. Which is awesome and would be awesome if both me and the boy weren't sick-ish. The boy's worse off than I am, he's all achey as well which smacks of the flu. Which is not good. So hopefully he'll take it easy and will be better by Thursday.

I haven't been sleeping as well, which just makes it that much worse to tell you the truth. I keep waking up at like 6am and not really getting back to sleep until my alarm goes off at 7.30. At which point I feel really sleepy and not at all like leaving my bed. Which would be great if I didn't have to get up at get ready for work.

Not good. Not good at all.

But I suppose that, as much as I'd love to curl up in bed and sleep the day away, life goes on. Which is why I'm at work rather than caving and calling in sick as I was going to at about 7am. I may regret this though.

    We shall see.

Awww...look it's us before the Law Ball. It looks really crappy and pixelated on my computer at work - hopefully it's just my crap screen resolution.

Anyway. The snow didn't come in time today. It snowed for all of 5 minutes whilst we were in team meeting and it didn't settle at all due to it being too wet on the ground. Damn. And it's just hailed and it's now raining...again.

    *two calls later...*

And now the sun's out. Stupid weather. It just doesn't seem to make up it's mind these days. I just want it to snow to blizzard-like proportions so that we'll get sent home. Unfortunately the weather looks like it really will clear this time :P

    Poop.

This time next week I'll be on the way to Wellington!!!!!!

    Awww...warm fuzzies :)

I got the nicest email when I got into work today...

    Everybody: "Awwww..."

No really. Turns out the boy thought it was appropriate to list all that he deems as my good qualities. Which is incredibly sweet of him. Because he's nice that way. And I kinda like him because he is nice.

    Mushy stuff aside.

Looks like Inspire is being postponed this year. *gaspshockhorror* And the date it's been moved to is (dun dun duuunnn) the same date as youth camp. *smack*

(Are you liking the sound effects???)

DT did ring to talk to me about it around the time they were thinking of the date change. And me - being the person in authorithy I am - okayed it. (What I really said was: "Ummm...um, well it's Wayne and Libby. Youth camp happens every year...")

    So:

On the 22nd of september, Wayne and Libby Huria. At HPCC. At Inspire. And I'm gonna be there! It's gonna be awesome. I honestly cannot wait. It is going to be awesome.

    Or rather: AWESOME!

    Yes.

    catch my disease...

    What an awesome weekend.

Of course it helped that I had monday off work. But it would have been awesome nonetheless because sunday night was absolutely amazing. First off, the strives performed their little buns off on Sunday night. They were fantastic as is - because any band with Lou, Luke, Zac and Steve are awesome - but Zac and his mate Aaron shared their testimonies as well. And there is seriously something about grown men crying that is just incredible.

    And what stories they had.

I already knew part of Zac's story because he'd shared it at Fuel. But man. He talked about the ex-wife and everything. Hard stuff. I just wanted to give him a hug. Which he totally wouldn't have appreciated being the hard man that he is.

He's not all that much of a hard man. But yeah.

And his mate Aaron. Maaate. His story was just crazy. It was insane. Demonic attacks and the whole work. It was awesome. Well, scary-awesome, but awesome nonetheless because it just brought to light how much work goes into the saving of one soul. Craziness.

And then Luke. Man, I was so incredibly proud of Luke that night. He was on the verge of tears and...I wanted to hug him too!! I was so proud. It was awesome. And the music was awesome and Zac pulled out all these mad guitar skills that I didn't even know he had.

    Whatta punk.

Anyway, and I had the day off yesterday. Which just made it that much more awesome because I could even sleep till 9.30. Which is amazing for me. It was just fun.

    Long weekends = the bomb.

    Monday, July 3

    Dear God,

Please, please, PLEASE let it snow tomorrow.

This way, I won't have to go to work and it won't matter that I as yet haven't been able to sort out the van for youth group. And I will have a break.

So if it could snow and if I could have a nice warm fuzzy text message from my team leader on my phone tomorrow it would be much appreaciated.

    Thank you.
