But only because I'm at my parents'...we're still waiting for dirty Telstra to send us out our modem. At least I can briefly check my gmail etc at work. Been WAYY too busy to actually do much more though!!
Thank goodness for Waitangi day. It's not even bad that it's on a Wednesday. It's like a mid-week weekend...work has been insane. Everyone's trying to meet deadlines BECAUSE it's a short week. Ahh...the newspaper industry. Fun times.
But seriously, I'm loving the job. The people are great and work is not monotonous at all. (Well, maybe a little...) But it's just so good to not wake up and think "I hate going to work..."
New house is good. Good to have the freedom of living on my own again. (Albeit with flatmates...)
Anyway, photos from Fally's wedding last friday!!!

Concert review: Bon Jovi
My voice is a little rough today. But Bon Jovi is awesome!! Seriously, I was so tired today but it was totally worth it. I was a little concerned that the majority of the songs would be from the spanking new Lost Highway album, but I needn't have worried. They did some of the new songs but they also did a WHOLE lot of their back catalogue songs as well. And there aren't many bands with a back catalogue like Bon Jovi.
I think the highlights of the night had to be: Shot Through the Heart and Living on a Prayer. Also, Ritchie Sambora soloing I'll Be There For You was pure gold. I tried to record them on my cellphone but we were reasonably far back and it failed miserably. Was a little upset (but not very!) that they didn't do Always - my very favorite Bon Jovi song. But the rocking version of Living of a Prayer did make up for it quite a lot!
That and the two encores. The crowd loved it! (As did I) Especially when he appeared in the Crusaders jersey. It was a shame the whole thing had to end. We were in the stands and at the end everyone was up and dancing. They are pure talent!! Sambora had some ROCKING guitar solos.
Plus, look how good Bon Jovi looks for his age:

DAMN!!
One more for luck...hahaOfficial press review: Here

Time moves on
I can't believe Heath Ledger is dead!!! Not that I know him or anything. It just seems a little unexpected and random. Like something out of the twilight zone.
I hope he didn't commit suicide, that would be WAY too sad. Especially for his little girl. You wouldn't want to grow up with that hanging over you. I can't imagine how his family and friends will be feeling right now...
So sad...
But I guess life goes one huh. New work is good. People are REALLY friendly and they are letting me take it slow which is great. (Especially since I am jet lagged!) I get ONE HOUR for work, which is as new to me as...something that is really new and shiny. I haven't had one hour lunches since school! Plus I am in the Square, so there is lots to do. I can sit in the sunshine, meet people for lunch or check out the Buskers Festival.
Incredible! I could get used to this...
