    Tweets

So I'm totally into this whole "mindcasting" thing. It's taken preceedence over my blogging. WHY has no one told me about this sooner? And the widget!!! Now I can tweet and blog at the same time.

    Yes, I am a retard.

    Or a geek.

    Geek is the better term.

Also, hello! I have lost inspiration to blog lately - somewhat due to aforementioned love of tweeting and reading John Mayer & Jamie Cullen's tweets (amongst others).

Here are grainy, cellphone photos from our work dinner last weekend. Went to Nobanno and it was SO GOOD.

    This is Pablo!

This is Pablo again and me with the gammy GIANT EYE OF DOOM!
    (Like the fringe?)

    Bry-diggity!!!
I've just noticed that the bags under my eyes are HUGE.

My word we are retards! Hahaha but it was a good night and didn't run too late for a nana like me.

Also...we are finally making progress with our wedding photos & album - whoopitty whoop!

And that is all. But I will be tweeting - oh yes I will be!

    Saturday Driving

    Little River

On a rather spur of the moment idea we drove to Akaroa with Jem & Jen yesterday. It was great fun. We had AWESOME weather (nice and sunny for the end of winter) and made lots of stops. (Also fun...)

I think I can see Akaroa from here!!

Seriously, after the fiendishly stressful week I've had, getting out of town and enjoying the sunshine seemed like the BEST idea ever. There's nothing quite like a roadtrip (albeit for about an hour) with good friends, good food, good sounds and even better drink!

We stopped at the Hilltop for some rather obligatory photos:

I am just so delighted I get to hug Jennifer...

We are all facing into the sun, so if we're squinty, that's why! Or maybe I am just squinty. Maybe because I am Asian. Argh! Haha.

After many, many stops - toilets, walking around Little River and looking at the shops, at the cheese store to buy fancy cheese - we actually did make it to Akaroa and to a rather picturesque spot for lunch.

Blue, blue ocean. It made me want to go swimming!

    Cheers!

Isaac picked the wine - the cheapest in the barrel AND Australian to boot, but it was actually really good. It went down a little TOO easily. Muwhaha.

    Silly...

Anyway, fun family driving. Hehee. Then it was the beach (cold!!), the shops and more sun and then the long drive home and to find tea.

It was a FANTASTIC way to spend a day. I even managed to make a lunchtime playlist and we brought the ipod speakers.

And just like that the weekend is over. It is surely depressing that another week of work awaits me. Luckily it is a short week and I do not have to be at work for another four days after that. Yay.

Amazon recently sent me an email asking me to rate my experience with a seller. But I haven't received the CD yet. (Michael Buble) Which concerns me a little, normally I never worry about buying from the marketplace as they are usually prompter than Amazon itself. But now I am beginning to think that I should be worried. Hm.

    We are the shadows...

    Queen's Birthday

I enjoy the fact that the Queen has a birthday in June. It just means a holiday for us - which I appreciate. Basically, I'm being paid to be at work now. YES!

I bet you it's not actually the Queen's birthday - just some obligatory term for us needing a holiday in June. But I'm not going to complain.

It has been the weekend for birthdays though. On Friday Mel and I headed to the Dux for a couple of drinks in celebration of Soraya's birthday - even though it wasn't till Saturday. But it was fun times! There were quite a few of us and Raya was getting quite happy on wine so it was pretty entertaining.

I'd also invited myself over to Mel's for tea earlier - but that's a whole nother story! Lol. I'm so rude sometimes...

When we got there she was considering making self saucing pudding!! Luckily we talked her out of it!!!! Crazy woman! But I love her, she's awesome!

AND...yesterday was Wolf's birthday. His parents had RUDELY (j/k it was a completely legitimate reason...) gone to Rotorua so we shouted him lunch after church. Complete with birthday cake!! (Yes, we are "o" for orsome...) And candles!! And after 545 Lou and Mel were going to shout him tea but (for some reason) we all ended up back at the flat with four pizzas and wedges. (Mmm...home made wedges...) And also a tub of "deep blue sea" ice cream - an intriguing "tropical flavored ice cream with lemon sorbet and fish shaped jellies". And yes, more cake because we didn't finish it all at lunchtime.

Fun times...we are such children sometimes. We all sat there in the dark giggling because we were pretending to hide while Wolf was in the loo...

    Haha...

I'm so glad I don't have to go to work today. It's *FREAKING* freezing. My hands are cold because they are outside of my blanket. And firefox tells me that it's -2 degrees at the moment.

    Brrrr....

I don't know what I'm doing today - I think the two student flatmates are studying and the other flatmate will probably go to her family's. Isaac is also studying. Students are boring when you're not one of them... We've officially been in the flat a year today though!!! Crazy isn't it??? Who would have thought we'd last this long!!! :)

    And when the smoke clears...

    Awwww...
